Tyler began his insurance career in 1993 as an independent life insurance agent. In  1998 he joined Tilton, Thomas & Morgan and in 2000 became a partner in the firm. In 2003 he was introduced to the Institute of Work Comp Professionals and completed his designation of Certified Work Comp Advisor, the ultimate stamp of execellence in the Workers Compensation field. Tyler also serves as the endorsed agent for the Bowling Proprietors Association of America and the Roller Skating Association International for the states of  Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, and Nebraska.

Tyler has served on the President's Advisory Council of Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents Young Agents Committee and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater St. Joseph United Way and the local Chamber of Commerce Young Executives Committee.
